On CircleLayerPaint, thickness is drawn inset from CirclePaint.radius (JS / Apple parity): the ring occupies [radius - thickness, radius] and the fill disc shrinks to match, so changing thickness does not change the circle's overall outer size. Mapbox Style JSON emission subtracts thickness from circle-radius so the native path matches.
